1. Nguyen Hue Walking Street
Nguyen Hue Walking Street is a famous tourist attraction that allows local people and international tourists to take photos of the center of the city as well as going sightseeing, shopping and enjoying some entertainments. This place has colorful decoration, modern water fountain system and toilets for guests. With rising attention, many beautiful coffee shops and restaurants appear and are always bustling. In the evening, there are music and dance performance of young people as well as the colorful light stage for some special festival. The mood here could amaze anybody.
Saigon Garden is one famous complex in this area. It has an outstanding and unique appearance with a green color from the trees that surround the complex giving a fresh feeling inside the crowded city. Apartment 42 is also very famous for many cozy restaurants and coffee shops. They give the guests not only delicious food and drinks but also the chance to view the whole walking street from above. 2. Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral

With the special architecture along with the rich spirituality and oozing history, the central Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the most famous landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City which was established between 1863 and 1880. The Cathedral is also in close to Saigon Post Office and Reunification Palace which are also located in District 1. All the materials and decorations that were imported from France makes its outstanding in the modern city with impressive red bricks from Marseille without plastered or cemented.
Right now, the Notre Dame Cathedral is undergoing a large-scale renovation that is expected to last for 2 years (6/2017-end 2019). Even though the Masses are still held weekly, guests are not allowed to visit for safety. You can still admire the scenery or take pictures from afar.
3. Saigon Central Post Office

The Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh is a famous tourist attraction, and perhaps the grandest post office in all of Southeast Asia. Located next to Notre Dame Cathedral, the two cultural sites can be visited together and offers visitors a chance to imagine life in Vietnam during the times of the Indochinese Empire. With arched windows and wooden shutters, the architecture gives the old feeling of the late 19th Century in the modern city.
4. Independence Palace
Address: 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ben Thanh, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
Independence Palace (or Reunification Palace) is a must-visit for tourists in Ho Chi Minh City. It was the base of Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem until his death in 1963. It made its name in global history in 1975 when a tank belonging to the North Vietnamese Army crashed through its main gate, ending the Vietnam War. APEC summits took place here as the palace is still used to host important occasions.
5. Bui Vien Walking Street
Bui Vien is a well-known place for partying and nightlife. It is even called “backpacker district” of Ho Chi Minh City which never sleep with partying all night. Along the street, there are bars lined up and packed tightly. This place offers cheap beer, delicious food, loud music, and the ecstatic crowd.
6. Pink church
Address: 289 Hai Ba Trung Street, Ward 8, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
This church is mainly famous for the pink color which attracts many young people to come for remarkable photos. Moreover, this church has a unique architecture with the combination of Gothic and Roman styles thus the Baroque decoration.
7. Ngoc Hoang Pagoda
Address: 73 Mai Thi Luu Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
This pagoda is famous for the Chinese architecture and for having a set of about 100 statues made from cardboard that depicts a meeting of genies with the Jade Emperor. After the US former president Barack Obama visited this pagoda during his official visit to Vietnam, it has gained increasing attention.
8. Artinus 3D Art Museum
Address: 02 – 04 Street 9, Tan Hung Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Artinus 3D Art Museum has more than 100 different 3D paintings created by Korean artists. This is an interactive museum that gives the visitors chances to experience the magic of 3D art. All the paintings were made in a special way that allows visitors to step inside and be part of stunning 3D scenes.
9. Landmark 81
Address: 772 Dien Bien Phu, Ward 22, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City
Landmark 81, super-tall skyscraper, is a new must-visit destination in Ho Chi Minh City The building has 81 stories with the height of 461 meters (1,514ft) located on the western bank of the Saigon River in Binh Thanh District. Along with Vinhomes Central Park, the skyscraper is the state-of-the-art construction comprising of the luxury hotel, excellent restaurants, and vibrant commercial center. This skyscraper is Vietnamese’s pride as it has preceded the twin towers Petronas in Kuala Lumpur to become the highest construction in Southeast Asia. Up to July 2018, Landmark 81 is the top 14 tallest buildings in the world together with well-known ones such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai or Shanghai Tower in Shanghai.
10. Cu Chi Tunnels
This is a network of connecting underground tunnels located in Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City. This place gives tourists opportunities to experience the life of the Vietnamese people. Visitors can also witness the place where many military campaigns took place during the Vietnam War.
